President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. extended his gratitude to the Filipinos who participated in the recently concluded 2025 National and Local Elections held on Monday, May 12.
In his official statement on Tuesday, President Marcos emphasized that the country’s democracy had once again renewed itself—peacefully, orderly, and with dignity.
"It is both a celebration of continuity and a call to act on the real challenges our people face," said Marcos.
"Filipinos elected leaders who will listen and act—on inflation, on jobs, on corruption and on the everyday burdens they carry. These are issues we must face head-on," he added.
He then addressed supporters of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas, thanking them for their trust. He acknowledged that while not every seat was won, their work and mission will continue.
Moreover, he acknowledged those who did not win, expressing deep respect for their courage to stand for public service. He emphasized that public service goes beyond elections, and that the work of nation-building requires everyone who is willing to serve.
"As my father once said: 'If we are to prevail, we must prevail as Filipinos—for it is the only way to endure. If we are to attain our goals, we must march forward, not to the past but to the future. And we must do this as one family, a nation united'," Marcos mentioned.
Reaffirming his stance on inclusive leadership, the President said governance requires cooperation and shared responsibility for the nation’s welfare. He offered his support to all newly elected officials, regardless of party or coalition.
"Let us move forward together—with open minds and a common purpose. Sa gobyernong tapat, kasama ang lahat," he added.
