Former senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. will not attend the presidential debate that will be hosted by CNN Philippines on February 27, 2022.
"Yes we have declined the invitation of CNN Philippines," Marcos' spokesman, lawyer Vic Rodriguez said in a text message sent to DZRH.
Rodriguez also confirmed Marcos' attendance at the presidential debate hosted by SMNI, the broadcasting arm of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
It can be recalled that Marcos also skipped the Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews and Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas Presidential Forum.
Quiboloy, the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, is currently on the US Federal Bureau of Investigation's wanted list for sex and labor trafficking charges.
The self-proclaimed "Appointed Son of God" also previously announced his endorsement of Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio in the upcoming national elections.
