Marcos reappoints Jay Ruiz as PCO Secretary

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reappointed veteran broadcast journalist Jay Ruiz as Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed the reappointment to DZRH News on Tuesday morning, June 17.

Leth Narciso reported that the reappointment came after the Commission on Appointments bypassed Ruiz's confirmation when the 19th Congress adjourned.

According to Bersamin, Ruiz's reappointment papers were released on Monday, June 16.

Meanwhile, PCO Senior Undersecretary Ana Puod resigned from her post following the President's decision to dismiss nearly 20 PCO officials who had earlier submitted their courtesy resignations.
