President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Monday said that he has other plans in store for former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo.
He bared this during a panel interview with the media at Malacañang.
"We have other plans for him, not as a presidential adviser," Marcos said when he was asked if Tulfo would be appointed as the next Presidential Adviser.
The President said Tulfo did a "good job" during his time as DSWD Secretary, adding that they cannot lose an "asset" like him.
"So, we will find something that he can do, so we can take advantage of his good instincts when it comes to social service," he said.
In December last year, Marcos tapped Eduardo Punay as the DSWD officer-in-charge (OIC) after the Commission on Appointments (CA) bypassed Tulfo's ad interim appointment twice.
Lawmakers earlier questioned the former DSWD chief's citizenship and raised his four counts of libel conviction.
