President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday encouraged Filipinos to be inspired to offer help and uplift those in need as the nation joins Muslims in celebrating Eid’l Fitr.

In his official message, Marcos emphasized that Eid’l Fitr is not just a celebration, but a reflection of people’s shared humanity, strengthening family and friendship bonds, as well as promoting unity among individuals.

"Beyond the values that Ramadan emphasized, let us continue to be inspired to extend our hands in service, uplift those in need, and help find joy in those who seek it,” said Marcos.

"Only through living with compassion and inclusivity can we appreciate and understand what Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sought to accomplish – a life where harmony and love prevail upon as all,” he added.

The President urged everyone to remember their responsibility to one another, expressing hope that acts of kindness, meaningful conversations, and joyful activities that unite communities will guide their actions in the future.

Marcos previously declared April 1, 2025, a regular holiday for the entire country to observe Eid’l Fitr.

Eid’l Fitr, or the Feast of Breaking the Fast, is the religious holiday for Muslims that signals the end of the Ramadan.
