President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Sunday, Dec. 31, called on Filipinos to be active in contributing to the Philippine’s future in 2024 and be a “catalyst” that could help the country’s “meaningful social transformation.”
“As we welcome 2024 with great optimism, I call upon every Filipino from every corner of the world to contribute to the future of our beloved motherland. Let us embody the spirit of solidarity through acts of kindness, volunteerism, and compassion, knowing that each of us is a catalyst for our country's meaningful transformation,” Marcos said in his New Year’s message posted on the Office of the President’s Facebook page.
He stated that a new year is a new beginning that allows everyone to reflect on their accomplishments, step forward with the lessons learned, and reinforce the forged unity.
"Truly, I am delighted to begin this new year with you as we strengthen our bonds and charter a new roadmap for tomorrow," the President said.
Marcos further remarked, "Let the dream of a revitalized Philippines — a Bagong Pilipinas — guide our endeavour as we bring forth peace, progress, and prosperity for all."
