President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Sunday assured that relief assistance for families displaced by the ongoing unrest of Mayon Volcano in Albay province are in "good condition".
In his weekly vlog posted on his official Facebook page, Marcos said that the government is ready to assist those who have been relocated.
Last Wednesday , the President visited Albay to personally check on the evacuees' welfare.
Marcos specifically went to the Guinobatan Community College evacuation camp to inspect the situation and oversee the distribution of government aid.
He earlier stated that concerned government agencies must give continued relief assistance to Mayon evacuees for a period of 90 days.
In a media interview on the sidelines of the International Trade Forum held at the Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City on Thursday, Marcos stated that all available resources will be used to assist Mayon evacuees, emphasizing that the government must be "sensitive" to the needs of the affected residents in Albay province.
The unrest on the Mayon Volcano has compelled nearly 18,000 people to remain in evacuation shelters in the province's six villages and two cities.
The country's active volcano is still under Alert Level 3.
