President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. donated a P80.9 million check to Camp Navarro General Hospital or CNGH in Barangay Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.
The check was given during the site inspection of the newly constructed CNGH building in Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM), which is a convergence project of the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Department of National Defense.
The President said the added funding will allow for the quick procurement of medical equipment for the hospital's facilities, such as the operating rooms, diagnostics, wards, physical therapy, etc., especially as it is being prepared to extend its services to ordinary civilians in the area.
The two-storey structure has a bed capacity of up to 120, an increase from the old one built in 1975, which only had a 50-100 bed capacity.
CNGH was first built to serve soldiers and authorized civilians in need of medical attention in Western Mindanao.
