A day after his second State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. officially departed for Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for a state visit.
Marcos will visit Malaysia from July 25 to July 27 in accordance with the invitation of the King of Malaysia Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah with whom the President will have an audience.
He will be accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and several members of his cabinet, including Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo.
The President is set to engage with Filipino and Malaysian business leaders to enhance bilateral trade and investment and explore economic opportunities for the Filipino people.
Marcos is also scheduled to meet with the Filipino community in Malaysia where he is expected to inform them of his administration’s plans and programs for overseas Filipinos.
It was in March this year that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim visited the Philippines.
