President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. acknowledged the efforts of first responders and others who are tirelessly assisting communities affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Pepito.
"Kailangang pasalamatan natin lahat ng first responders. 'Yung mga LGUs, lahat ng mga nagt-trabaho na pang-anim na nila ito," Marcos said in an ambush interview on Monday.
While recognizing their exhaustion, Marcos expressed confidence that first responders have done everything within their capacity to assist the victims of the recent typhoon.
"Kaya tayo'y nagpapasalamat sa kanila," said Marcos.
Marcos expressed his gratitude to the public who continue to help to the best of their ability in delivering aid to those in need.
He further stated that the government is also closely monitoring and providing bulletins on what needs to be done.
He also assured that efforts to restore communities devastated by the typhoon will commence promptly.
The president expressed his relief and described the strength of Typhoon Pepito as "not as bad as we feared."
