Face-to-face classes at all levels in the city of Manila are suspended from April 25 to 26 due to 'dangerous' heat levels, the city government announced on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post,
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan declared the suspension of face-to-face classes for public and private schools at all levels for Thursday and Friday. Schools are advised to shift to asynchronous classes.
"This is due to the forecast danger heat index level of 44°C according to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office," the post read.
