The Philippines is set to make another historic feat as one of the host countries for the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, marking the first time the world’s premier professional women’s 3x3 basketball circuit will hold an event in the country, as reported by RHTV Millie Borja

The Manila leg of the tour is scheduled from May 7 to 8, following the season opener in Chengdu from May 1 to 2. Early tour stops will conclude in Shanghai from May 16 to 17.

This milestone highlights the Philippines’ growing reputation in the 3x3 basketball scene. The country has previously hosted major 3x3 events, including the FIBA 3x3 World Tour and the 2018 FIBA 3x3 World Cup, showcasing its capacity to stage international basketball competitions.

Open to both national teams and private squads, the Manila stop promises high-level competition. Historically, the tournament has seen France claim the championship in 2014 and 2019, Germany in 2021, and Canada dominating three times in 2022, 2023, and 2025.

Basketball fans can look forward to witnessing elite female athletes compete on home soil, further cementing the Philippines’ place in the global 3x3 community.
