The local government of Manila City is reminding the candidates of the recently held Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) to remove all of their election propaganda.
In an advisory on Thursday, the Manila Public Information Office (PIO) said candidates must remove all of the campaign materials within five days after the election.
Resolution 10924, Section 256, or the removal of propaganda materials after the elections, stated that "within five (5) days after the elections and without the need of notice, the candidates shall remove nor cause to remove all their election propaganda at expense of the candidate for whose apparent benefit the election propaganda materials have been produced, displayed, and disseminated."
"Maging responsable tayong lahat sa pag-alis, pag-linis at pag-dispose ng ating mga election propaganda upang mapanatiling malinis ang ating lugar at kapaligiran," the advisory read.
The Manila PIO also encouraged candidates to recycle their tarpaulins.
