Multiple cases from all fronts have been stacked against dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, now with qualified trafficking among the count, as Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said on Wednesday.

The contents of the case may be released on Friday, September 6, he assured the media.

Remulla enumerated the government bodies with cases against Guo: besides the DOJ, the Office of the Ombudsman is handling a case, the Office of the Solicitor General, the Court of Appeals, the Senate (which holds her in contempt) and the Commission on Elections.

“Hindi lang executive at judicial, pati constitutional provisions involved, sa dami ng kaso ni Alice Guo,” the justice secretary said in a press briefing.

(Alice Guo’s cases are not limited to the executive and judicial, but also involve constitutional provisions, with how many cases she has.)

“Komplikado na nga, ano. Kaya kung mayroong abogado na magmamarunong diyan, baka marami silang gustong sabihin. Kaya lang, alam natin na hindi tama ang lahat ng naging diskarte ni Alice Guo sa buhay niya,” he added.

(It’s complicated already. So if there should be a lawyer who would pretend to be knowledgeable about this, maybe they’ll have a lot to say. However, we know all of Alice Guo’s strategies in life have been egregious.)

The former mayor had previously requested for the DOJ’s dismissal of her human trafficking charges. She called the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission’s (PAOCC) complaint “preposterous,” citing that only an electric bill and BAOFU documents had linked her to the crime.
