A man was rushed to the hospital after being blown up by a firecracker placed in his pocket on New Year's Day.

As reported by Val Gonzales in "Dos Por Dos," the unidentified man was rushed to Quirino Memorial Medical Center at midnight after he allegedly inserted firecrackers into his pocket but unfortunately exploded.

The man's right thigh was reportedly punctured.

The man was brought to the hospital by eight drunk men on a motorcycle.
