Blinded by jealousy, a man admits to killing his live-in-partner, whose body was found in a remote canal in Binangonan, Rizal earlier this week.

Roceller Lanon, the suspect, told before the Antipolo City Prosecutor’s Office that he killed the victim, Janiclear Cahilig, when a fight ensued between them in their house.

With suspicions of Cahilig's relationship with a co-worker, the suspect hit her with a bottle and proceeded to strangle her to death.

In an attempt to conceal the incident, Lanon initially hid the 31-year-old's body inside a room. However, later on, he dumped Cahilig's body in a secluded grassy area where her body was found on the morning of February 13.
