A man was killed by gunshots in point-blank range in front of his wife and young child by their home in Pasay City on Sunday, July 28.
Pasay police said he was standing right outside the house, speaking to his wife and daughter, when the gunman arrived on a motorcycle.
"Based dun sa mga nakakakita, 'yung ating suspects sakay ng motorsiklo, bumaba 'yung angkas, lumapit sa biktima at 'yun pinagbabaril 'yung biktima," relayed Pasay City Chief of Police PCOL Samuel Pabonita.
("Based on what witnesses have said, the suspects were on a motorcycle, the passenger got down, approached the victim, and then shot him multiple times.")
The suspects made their getaway when the victim collapsed. He was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival from the numerous gunshot wounds to his head and body.
When authorities conducted a background check on the victim, it was revealed that he was involved in a drug-related case in the past. He had just been released from prison in March this year.
Authorities are tracking the suspects and investigating the motive for the killing.
