A man has been arrested for stabbing a victim, while a cop who responded to the incident was also stabbed in Tent City, Pook Arboretum, Brgy. UP Campus in Quezon City on October 31.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Public Information Office, the suspect was identified as Brian Boldero, 37, a resident of Agham Road, Quezon City.
QCPD PIO said the investigation conducted by QCPD Station 9 showed that the incident happened at 2:45 PM, when Bolando stabbed a victim named Francisco Naquita, who sustained multiple wounds.
Authorities responded to the crime scene wherein Patrol Jonathan Orlanes, one of the respondents, was also stabbed after controlling Bolando from resisting.
A combat knife measuring 5.5 inches in length was seized from the suspect.
Bolando is facing a case of serious physical injury and a direct assault with frustrated homicide at the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.
"Tungkulin naming kapulisan ang iligtas ang bawat mamamayan sa ating komunidad, kaya binabati ko ang mabilis na pagresponde ng PS 9 personnel sa pamumuno ni PLTCOL Ferdinand Casiano nagresulta ng pgkaaresto ng suspek. At sa ating nasugatan na tauhan, isa kang patunay na ang pulis ay laging maasahan sa oras nang pangangailangan", said QCPD Acting District Director, PBGEN Rederico Maranan.
