Authorities apprehended a 54-year old man for producing, possessing, and selling videos of minors going through sexual abuse.
The Philippine National Police - Anti-Cybercrime Group arrested the suspect, alias 'Blondie', on Monday, August 19, while serving a warrant to search, seize, and examine computer data at his residence in Manila.
PNP-ACG said that the operation stemmed from a report issued by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children based on images intercepted by social media platforms.
During the course of the investigation, police found the social media accounts of the suspect where he sells 'bagets' videos.
Authorities conducted an operation to locate the victims and one of them, alias 'Nick', shared that he received messages from the suspect through a social media platform.
The 15-year old victim added that the suspect offered Php 300 in exchange for sexual services.
PNP-ACG said that the suspect faces charges for violating Republic Act 11930, also known as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act, in relation to Section 6 of RA 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Protection Act.
