The Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity has accused MAMAMOO's Hwasa of public obscenity.
On July 10, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul said that the Student Parents Human Rights Protection Solidarity had filed a complaint against Hwasa for public obscenity and that an investigation was underway.
Hwasa’s new agency, P Nation, briefly commented on the issue, saying that they understand that the police are reviewing the case.
Previously, on May 12, Hwasa performed at the Sungkyunkwan University Festival while filming TVN's "Dancing Queens on the Road.
At the time, Hwasa sang her solo song "Don't" and made a suggestive gesture, prompting the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity to file a complaint.
According to reports, the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity accused Hwasa of creating discomfort for spectators and making the public feel ashamed by making a gesture that was inappropriate for the circumstances of the performance.
