Malacañang on Thurday stated that the 2025 national budget is still being reviewed thoroughly to guarantee it conforms with the Constitution.

“The President and the Cabinet are right now thoroughly reviewing the various items of the GAA to make them conform to the Constitution, and to see to it that the budget prioritizes the main legacy thrusts of the administration,” said Bersamin.

Bersamin added that the President is very careful not only in planning the budget but also in how it will be spent, especially given the limited fiscal resources. He assured that the budget priorities would reflect the administration's legacy trust.

The Palace first announced that President Marcos is set to sign the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) on Monday, following his activities related to Rizal Day.

Once enacted into law, the 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) will be known as the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

The signing of the national budget was previously postponed as President Marcos stated that it required thorough examination due to significant changes in the budget requests from various agencies.

However, he reassured the public that despite the delay, the national budget would be signed into law before the year ends.
