Malacañang is inviting the transport group Manibela for a meeting to tackle some of their concerns prior to the group's transport strike on Monday.
Manila Chairperson Mar Valbueno confirmed on Saturday during RH Balita that the Malacañang through its staff, reached out to them for a meeting.
According to Valbuena if the meeting had disagreements, the transport strike on Monday would still continue.
The chairperson said it is prepared for the meeting to address all of their concerns, such as challenges in franchising, routes, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the provisional authority, and the Jeepney phase-out, which will end until December 31 this year prior to the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
Manibela hopes that all of the transport group chief officers will be included in the said meeting, adding that he was the one who requested the palace include them to personally hear the talks.
Valbuana hopes that the meeting will have a good agreement, as this will also benefit the public, including their passengers.
Meanwhile, the transport group thanked the palace for reaching out to them and giving them a platform to express their concerns.
