

Emma Malabuyo became the fourth Filipino gymnast to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
Malabuyo snagged a ticket to the Paris Games after finishing third place in the individual all-around event of the 2024 Women's Artistic Gymnastic Asian Championships on Friday, May 23, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The 21-year-old Filipina-American gymnast claimed the bronze medal with a score of 50.398 points.
"Along her bronze medal is her ticket for the upcoming Paris Olympics, adding her to our roster of gymnasts representing our country in the games," the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines said in a Facebook post.
The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) also congratulated Malabuyo for qualifying for the Paris Games.
"Another day, another qualifier! Extremely proud moment for the country as Emma Malabuyo qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the recent Asian Championships," POC said.
Hu Jiafei of China earned 50.699 points to top the event while her compatriot Qin Xinyi amassed 50,566 points to win the silver medal.
