UPDATE: Magnitude 5.7 quake rocks Dalupiri Island, Cagayan

UPDATE - A magnitude 5.7 earthquake rocked off the coast of Dalupiri Island in Cagayan on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
In a bulletin issued, the state seismologist said that the quake, which was tectonic in origin, happened around 11:35 AM on Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan. It had a depth of focus of 17 kilometers.
PHIVOLCS earlier reported the quake as magnitude 6.2.
Intensities are reported in the following areas:
- Intensity V - Calayan, CAGAYAN
- Intensity IV - Lacub, ABRA; Adams, Bacarra, Bangui, Burgos, Carasi, Dumalneg, City of Laoag, Pagudpud, Pasuquin, San Nicolas, and Sarrat, ILOCOS NORTE; Peñablanca, Piat, Santo Niño, Solana, and Tuguegarao City, CAGAYAN
- Intensity III - Licuan-Baay, ABRA; Balbalan, Lubuagan, and Pasil, KALINGA; City of Batac, Currimao, Marcos, Paoay, and Pinili, ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity II - Nueva Era, ILOCOS NORTE; Basco, BATANES; Angadanan, Cabagan, Maconacon, San Mariano, and San Pablo, ISABELA
- Intensity I - Delfin Albano, ISABELA

The state seismologist recorded various instrumental intensities in different areas:
- Intensity IV - City of Laoag, and Pasuquin, ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity III - City of Batac, ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity II - Basco, BATANES
There is no expected damage or aftershocks.
