A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental on Tuesday evening, July 30, according to PHIVOLCS.

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 6:36 p.m. and had a depth of 21 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS recorded the following intensities:

Intensity II - in Malapatan, Sarangani
Instrumental Intensities:

• Intensity II - in Malungon and Malapatan, Sarangani
• Intensity I - in Kidapawan City, Cotabato
