A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolted Saranggani Island early Friday morning, August 2, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

According to the state seismologist's bulletin, the tectonic earthquake struck at 4:47 a.m.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, but no intensities have been reported.

PHIVOLCS stated that no damage or aftershocks are expected.
