A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolted the area west of Dalupiri Island in Cagayan early Monday morning, July 30, at 3:32 a.m.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that the tectonic quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS has indicated no expectation of significant damage or aftershocks following the tremor.
