A magnitude 4.8 earthquake rocked New Bataan, Davao de Oro, on Tuesday morning, May 14, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

Based on PHIVOLCS's bulletin, the earthquake hit east of New Bataan at 2:26 a.m. It has a depth of 10 kilometers.
Reported intensities are the following:
- Intensity IV: New Bataan and Monkayo, DAVAO DE ORO
- Intensity III: Maco, Davao de Oro
- Intensity I: City of Bislig, SURIGAO DEL SUR

- Intensity II: Nabunturan, Davao de Oro
