A magnitude 4.8 earthquake hit Palauig, Zambales on Thursday, July 6.

In an advisory, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck at around 3:16 p.m., with the epicenter traced 26 kilometers southwest of Palauig.

According to the stte seismologists, temblor's intensity was felt in some parts of Metro Manila but there is no expected damage and aftershocks.
