<p>A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rocked a town in Zambales province and was felt in several parts of Metro Manila and surrounding provinces on Thursday,&nbsp;the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.</p>
<p>In a bulletin, the state seismologist said the&nbsp;quake, which was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 24 kilometers, occurred 13 kilometers northeast of Masinloc town at 12:21 PM.&nbsp;</p>
<p>PHIVOLCS said intensities were recorded in the following areas:</p>
<ul>
<li>Intensity IV - City of Alaminos and Binalonan, PANGASINAN; City of San Fernando, Pampanga;</li>
<li>Intensity III - Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Taguig in NCR; Infanta, Aguilar, and Villasis, Pangasinan;</li>
<li>Intensity II - Makati City in NCR; Baguio City; Bacnotan, La Union; Bolinao, Calasiao, and Santa Barbara, Pangasinan; Dagupan City; Bocaue, Bulacan; Bamban, Tarlac;</li>
<li>Intensity I - Malabon, Manila, Marikina, Novatas, Pasay City; Pateros, Metro Manila; Santa Maria, Bulacan</li>
</ul>

<p>PHIVOLCS said damage are expected due to the earthquake, but no aftershocks are anticipated.</p>
