Magnitude 4.2 quake hits Adams, Ilocos Norte

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit Adams, Ilocos Norte on Friday noon, January 26, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The state seismologist said the earthquake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 8 kilometers.
It was 3:05 in the afternoon when the earthquake was felt.

Reported intensities are as follows:
- Intensity V- Burgos, Pasuquin, Bacarra, City of Laoag, and Paoay, ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity IV- Sinait, and Cabugao, ILOCOS SUR
Instrumental Intensities:
- Intensity VI- Pasuquin,ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity IV- City of Laoag, ILOCOS NORTE
- Intensity II- City of Vigan, ILOCOS SUR
- Intensity I- Gonzaga, CAGAYAN; Aringay, LA UNION
Meanwhile, PHIVOLCS said no damage and aftershocks are expected.
