Music icon Madonna was rushed to a hospital in New York City on Saturday due to a "severe bacterial infection".
The 64-year-old artist required intubation for one night, but has recovered and is now conscious.
Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager, took to Instagram on Wednesday to disclose that the legendary singer had contracted a severe bacterial infection, necessitating an extended stay in the intensive care unit (ICU) for several days.
"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected," said the manager.

Due to this, the iconic singer's "Celebration" tour, which will kick off in less than three weeks, have been postponed.
"At this time, we will need to pause all commitments, which include the tour," Oseary said.
"We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows," he added.
Earlier this year, Madonna had announced plans for her "Celebration" tour, an homage to her four-decade-long music career.
The extensive global journey, consisting of 84 performances, was initially scheduled to commence on July 15 at Vancouver's Rogers Arena.
