The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will expand its E-Patrol Services across the country, in compliance with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s instruction to bring government services closer to citizens.
In a press release on Tuesday, LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II vowed to expand the mobile coverage services for all LTO transactions. He said that they are currently finalizing the strategic development of the services, adding that they are aiming for convenience in applying for certain requirements.
“This is part of our initiative to make all LTO services more accessible to the community. Through our E-Patrol Services, the people even in far-flung areas can conveniently access important LTO services,” Assec Mendoza stated.
Instead of going to the LTO District Offices, people can apply for their documents comfortably online. Those who live far from the offices would also save their time and energy when applying for and processing any transactions needed. Among the services offered under the E-Patrol Services are driver’s license renewal and motor vehicle registration renewal.
The deployment of the online service is also in line with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista’s directive to help people comply with the department’s regulations through hassle-free transactions with the government.
The E-Patrol Services will be deployed as frequently as possible across the country in the next few weeks, as all Regional Directors and District Office heads have already rolled out the program.
