The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license of the driver of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) involved in a road rage incident in Subic, Zambales over the weekend.

Based on LTO's initial investigation, the female driver of the SUV has repeatedly overtook another vehicle, which was being driven by a 70-year-old retired judge and his assistant. It was also reported that the driver hit the vehicle while it was on reverse.

The motorist’s license has been suspended for 90 days amid a show cause order issued by LTO Central Luzon.

Apart from the preventive suspension, the LTO also issued a show-cause order to the driver and the owner of the SUV to appear and provide an explanation regarding the incident before LTO Regional Office III on March 1.

“Non-filing or late submission of the answer is deemed an admission of the allegations,” the order read.

“Failure to appear at the above-stated time, day, and place shall be construed as a waiver to be heard and to contravene the above-cited accusation, leaving this Office to resolve the case administratively and accordingly based on the available records,” it added.
