The Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended Angkas CEO George Royeca’s license for 90 days, after the Cainta traffic incident.
The report by RH 5 Val Gonzales on Monday, stated that the suspension came after a video of Angkas riders blocking the traffic flow at an intersection at the Cainta junction on February 2, went viral.
The LTO has yet to release additional information on the matter, including the reason why Royeca’s license was the only one penalized.
In a social media post on February 10, Royeca mentioned they went to the LTO to receive the show cause order issued against him. He also surrendered his license to the agency and took full responsibility for the traffic infraction earlier this month.
Royeca shared the same post on Monday after it was reported that the LTO had suspended his license. He reiterated that he accepts full responsibility and will respect due process.
