The Land Transportation Office (LTO) reviews call to extend the validity period of car registration.
Asec. Jose Arturo Tugade, chief of LTO, said on Friday, March 24, that the agency will declare its position on the matter within the year.
Currently, the validity of the initial motor vehicle registration lasts for three years, and, afterward, owners need to renew the registration of their vehicles with the LTO every year.
On Wednesday, March 22, LTO issued a memorandum circular that sets a price cap and other guidelines for driving courses.
The circular takes effect on April 15.
