Unconsolidated jeepney operators who did not comply with the deadline will be tagged as "colorum" begninning February, according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Thursday.
In a press briefing, LTFRB chief Teofilo Guadiz III said those who will not comply with the consolidation deadline will be apprehended in plying their routes.
The agency will also issue show-cause orders to public utility jeepney operators within the month.
"Yung show cause order po sa January po yan, hanggang January 31, lahat po ng mga hindi nag-consolidate padadalhan po namin ng show cause order," Guadiz said.
Office of Transportation Cooperatives Chairman Andy Ortega, meanwhile, said operators of unconsolidated jeepneys will be informed way before January 31 to prevent any kind of conflict with transport authorities.
He also assured the public that the fare on modern jeepneys will not go over P30.
