Modern and Traditional Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) will no longer need to print the fare matrix for the ₱1 provisional fare hike, according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
In an advisory on Sunday, Oct. 9, LTFRB said drivers of modern and traditional PUJs are not required to display a fare matrix since the approved provisional fare hike is only temporary and may be lifted soon.
"[M]aaari nang singilin ng P13.00 ang mga pasahero ng Traditional Public Utility Jeepney (TPUJ) habang P15.00 naman para sa Modern Public Utility Jeepney (MPUJ)," it said.
The ₱1 provisional fare hike took effect on Sunday.
In a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, traditional PUJ drivers in Mandaluyong have started to implement ₱1 provisional fare hikes.
However, the lack of a printed fare matrix caused confusion among passengers.

Meanwhile, in a report by RH Christian Maño, Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators sa Pilipinas (LTOP) national president Orlando Marquez said drivers of modern PUJs in the Makati, Taguig, and Pasay routes will not implement the ₱1 provisional fare hike.
Marquez said members said agreed to not enforce the fare hike as they could still manage to pay the current oil prices.
"Meron kasi kaming install na pagpapatipid sa krudo, pamgpaalis sa pollution na gadget kaya kaya pa naman daw nila i-absorb at una nakakatulong daw sila sa ating mga kababayan na maliit ang sweldo," he said.
Due to this, the fare in modern PUJs remains at ₱13.
