The Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has identified the members of the transport group Samahang Manibela Mananakay at Nagkaisang Terminal ng Transportasyon (MANIBELA) who attacked DZRH reporter Val Gonzales.
LTFRB chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III revealed on Monday, June 10, that they acquired pictures of the people involved in the assault of Gonzales, and will pursue charges against them.
"We will take the initial action to file a case kasi na-identify naman namin kung sino yung mga gumawa," Guadiz said during DZRH's Balansyado.

"Nakuha namin yung picture nung mga gumawa. We are now comparing these with their profiles sa mga pulis for the eventual filing of the cases against them," he added.

Members of MANIBELA surrounded Gonzales in the middle of his live report regarding the protest rally of the transport group on Monday along East Avenue in Quezon City.
Gonzales said that the protesters punched him twice before he managed to get away from them.
The LTFRB chief condemned the incident and revealed that the protesters did not compose solely of public utility jeepney operators and drivers.
"Halos 60 to 70 percent ng mga nag-welga ay hindi mga tsuper iyon. These are the peasants, mga manggagawa na sumama na lang sa kanilang strike," Guadiz revealed.
