Private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has announced that it will conduct a four-day rail replacement activities in Baclaran station of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1).
In an advisory, LRMC said the activities will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 20, and will end on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Normal operations are expected to resume by Monday, Sept. 25, the private operator said.
With this, commuters are advised to anticipate a limited number of deployed trains, limited train movements, and closure of the loading and unloading platform in Baclaran station.
LRMC added that commuters should also expect longer headways or waiting times in between trains.
"Ang headway (o tagal ng pagdating ng tren mula sa isang istasyon patungo sa susunod) ay magiging 5 minuto mula sa kasalukuyang 4 minuto," it said.
The private operator extended its apologies to affected commuters and asked for their kind understanding.
It then assured the continuous deployment of its 4th Generation trains to carry more passengers while the maintenance is ongoing.
"The riding public is requested to be guided accordingly and plan their trips ahead of time given the temporary adjustments in LRT-1 operations," the LRMC furthered.
