A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank exploded in a fast food outlet in Candelaria, Quezon on Friday, causing injuries to five employees.
According to the spot report from the Quezon police, the four injured workers at a chicken restaurant were named Ayie Efil, supervisor; Jennelyn Salazar Perez, crew; and Micko Buedron, cashier.
The other victim has yet to be identified.
All victims were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, having Efil and Buedron both suffer second-degree burns on their bodies.
The explosion happened at around 3:30 p.m. at a restaurant located inside the WalterMart shopping mall in Barangay Malabanban Norte.
Local firemen urgently responded to the scene.
For now, authorities are still conducting investigations to find out what caused the LPG tank explosion.
Meanwhile, a similar incident happened last January 30 in Malate, Manila, causing injuries to 16 individuals after the LPG gas explosion inside a laundry shop.
