The former anti-communist body spox was directed to pay a P30,00 fine.
"[A]nd WARNED that a repetition of the same or similar acts in the future shall merit a more severe sanctions," Leonen added.
The case stemmed from the petition filed by a group of lawyers against Badoy, who they said red-tagged and threatened to harm Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Marlo Magdoza-Malagar on a lengthy Facebook post in September 2023.
“So if I kill this judge and I do so out of my political belief that all allies of the CPP NPA NDF must be killed because there is no difference in my mind between a member of the CPP NPA NDF and their friends, then please be lenient with me,” Badoy previously wrote.
She published the post on Facebook after Magdoza-Malagar dismissed the justice department’s prescription case to declare the Communist Party of the Philippines and New People's Army as terrorist organizations.
