Bet you didn't see this coming! OPM icons Bamboo Mañalac, Mark Escueta, Nathan Azarcon, and Rico Blanco will be holding a reunion concert next year!
On Monday, concert promoter Live Nation Philippines announced that the much-anticipated concert will be taking place on February 17, 2024, at SMDC Festival Grounds.
"Be a part of history as Live Nation Philippines stages its first-ever OPM show with Bamboo, Mark, Nathan and Rico - finally together in the country’s most coveted reunion.
Tickets for the concert will be available starting November 17, 3 PM via www.smtickets.com and SM Tickets outlets. Ticket prices are P2,550 (bronze), P6,550 (silver), P11,750 (gold), and P14,750 (VIP).
Together with Perf de Castro, Bamboo, Rico, Mark, and Nathan are the original members of Rivermaya.
Perf left the band in 1995, Bamboo left in 1998, and Rico left in 2007.
Currently, Rivermaya is composed of members Escueta, Azarcon, and Mike Elgar. The band recently released the single "Casino" in 2022.
Rivermaya is best known for their hit-songs “214,” “You’ll Be Safe Here,” “Elesi, Kisapmata,” “Awit ng Kabataan,” and “Liwanag sa Dilim” among others.
