Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo gave a shoutout to her Mommy Divine at the Billboard Women in Music Awards!

In her Billboard interview with Blue Carpet hosts Rania Aniftos and Lilly Singh, the singer was asked about being a "Global Force" and what the award means to her.

"I mean, it's very unexpected to be considered a global force, and for me, a global force is having that fluence and having that power to influence people, and it also comes with a big responsibility, right? You have to be mindful about the materials that you put out there. You have to create change and positivity towards other people," she explained.

The popstar royalty was also asked about how she feels about being at an event that specifically champions and highlights women.

"I mean, women are beautiful, women are strong. And now that I am married, I understand how marriage can be difficult sometimes. And men are beautiful as well, I mean, the way they manage, they manage, they cope with, you know, everything that goes on with our minds as women. I also would like to salute men, 'no, on how they take care of us," Sarah answered.

"Women, especially mothers out there, shoutout to my mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo, you are the best. You are my hero. I love you very much. I mean, I cannot imagine myself being a mother, all the sacrifices that a mother has to do for their child. It's mind-blowing."

It can be recalled that in 2020, while Sarah's relationship with her parents started to cramp, she tied the knot with her now-husband Matteo Guidicelli.

According to sources, it caused an internal dispute between her and her parents, who have since been noticeably absent from her concerts.

In an Instagram post from October 2022, she wrote an apologetic letter to them for allegedly causing them pain, which she then deleted.

Sarah is the first Filipina artist to receive an award at Billboard Women In Music.
