Pauline Amelinckx has been officially announced as the very first The Miss Philippines, receiving her much-deserved crownn during the Supra Duo Homecoming event on Thursday night.
The event also showcased Johaness Rissler, who achieved a commendable Top 20 placement in the Mister Supranational competition.
The official pageant platform posted, "Pauline Amelinckx received her crown as the first-ever The Miss Philippines. As The Miss Philippines, Pauline represents confidence, intelligence, and positive change in addition to being a beauty queen."
A separate post on the same page said, "You embody not only the Filipino spirit that has made you the queen you are today, but you have also filled the hearts of every Filipino with joy and pride. Your journey brought people together in celebration of the Filipina's beauty, wisdom, and influence."
The Miss Philippines, described as the "most contemporary and forward-thinking national pageant in the Philippines," holds the responsibility of organizing the Miss Supranational and Miss Charm contests within the country.
The pageant is a brainchild of Supsup and Gaffud, who also lead the Miss Universe Philippines organization.
Applications for The Miss Philippines pageant is presently open.
Aspiring beauty queens, between the ages of 18 and 32 and single, have the opportunity to participate.
Screening sessions will occur on all Saturdays of August (5, 12, 19, 26), from 11 am to 5 pm, at Enderun Coworking Estancia, located on the 2nd floor, South Wing, Estancia Mall in Pasig. The application deadline is set for August 26.
In July, Pauline achieved the title of 1st runner-up in the Miss Supranational 2023 contest held in Poland.
During the preliminary stages, she notably made it to the finals of the Supra Chat segment.
Pauline's journey to success included previously vying for the title of Miss Universe Philippines in May, ultimately leading to her recognition as Miss Supranational Philippines.
