After her jaw-dropping performance at the Miss Universe stage held in El Salvador a few weeks ago, in which she flaunted her stunning gown that wowed the whole universe during the coronation night, Michelle Marquez Dee again served beauty in another Apo Whang-Od-inspired gown for her homecoming parade on December 10 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.
Wearing a custom Mark Bumgarner design in reference to Dee’s Miss Universe Whang-Od evening gown, the actress-beauty queen, this time, graced the stage with a white gown.
In his Instagram page, Bumgarner described his masterpiece as having an “asymmetrical design that gives an edgy and modern look,” yet remaining true to his aesthetics, which are clean, structured, and elegant.
“The traditional Kalinga tattoo design was integrated in a more subtle way, as a nod to the legendary icon, Whang Od., and as a representation of our indigenous people,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

During her incredible and remarkable performance in attempt to bring home the fifth crown for the Philippines, Dee walked on the international stage wearing a masterpiece that paid tribute to the legendary Filipina tattoo artist Apo Whang-Od.
The legendary tattoo artist has been recognized globally as a symbol of timeless beauty, which Dee considers a true icon, a symbol of bravery, beauty, and inclusivity.
It can be recalled that Apo Whang-Od was featured as the oldest cover girl for Vogue at the age of 106.
