The much-anticipated Philippine remake of BBC Studio's Doctor Foster has finally revealed its star-studded lineup.
Headlining the local adaption of the series "The Broken Marriage Vow" is Jodi Sta. Maria as Dr. Jill Illustre. Playing her husband is Zanjoe Marudo will take on the role of David Ilustre.
Both Sta. Maria and Marudo just wrapped up their successful teleseryes, "Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin" and "Walang Hanggang Paalam" respectively.
Joining them are Sue Ramirez as Lexy Lucero, the other woman, and Zaijan Jaranilla the (un) couple's son Gio.
ABS-CBN revealed the lineup in a Facebook Live on Friday, May 7.
The Broken Marriage Vow will be directed by Connie Macatuno. Its release date has yet to be announced.
Doctor Foster tells the story of Gemma Foster, a doctor whose life takes a drastic turn when she suspects her husband of having an affair. It ran for two seasons, until 2017.
Prior to having our own remake, “Doctor Foster” had already been adapted by other countries, namely France, Russia, Turkey, India, and South Korea.
Its South Korean adaptation, The World of the Married, became a hit among Philippine audiences and was broadcast by ABS-CBN in June 2020.
