With the over 100K Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan supporters clad in their pink shirts during the PasigLaban people's rally singing her song "Break Free," American pop superstar Ariana Grande can't help but took notice of them.
The singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share at least two videos of the crowd at Emeral Avenue in Pasig City where the supporters were heard singing her 2014 hit song “Break Free.”
"I could not believe this was real,” Ariana wrote in her caption, adding,"I love you more than words."
Following her Instagram stories, Ariana quickly topped the Philippine Twitter trends with the hashtags for the Pasig rally.
The singing of “Break Free” during the campaign rally was part of a performance by Filipino drag queens, led by Minty Fresh who even dressed like Ariana Grande.
Various officials and unofficial estimated the crowd at 80,000 to as high as 130,000. The final number has yet to be released. The grand people’s rally was the largest crowd the ticket has gathered so far.
Among the artists who performed during the rally were Ben&Ben, Ebe Dancel, Rivermaya, Noel Cabangon, Jolina Magdangal, and Itchyworms who changed the lyrics to their hit song "Akin Ka Na Lang" to "Leni Ka Na Lang."
