“But here’s the thing, we made it through!”

The Philippines' pop-rock royalty, Yeng Constantino and her husband Victor “Yan” Asuncion marked their decade-long marriage on Wednesday evening, through the renewal of their vows.

Yeng shared glimpses of the ceremony via Instagram stories and posts. The ceremony was held in a garden, where the couple stood hand-in-hand at a red heart-shaped platform, acting as the altar.

Yan looked dapper in a white ensemble and a chocolate-colored vest. Meanwhile, Yeng donned a white off-shoulder knee-length petticoat dress, with a fitted bodice.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Yeng looked back on all the years that they’ve been together. Ten years ago, the singer-songwriter said she promised to love and cherish her husband, through all of life’s joys and challenges.

“Little did we know, our journey would be filled with moments that would test our love, and our patience to each other,” she recalled. “But here’s the thing, we made it through! We weathered every storm, held on to each other when the road got rough.”

Yeng continued that their love story does not mimic fairy tales and grand romantic gestures, but rather portrays a story of “real, raw, and unrelenting devotion.”

“It’s a story of two imperfect people who chose to love each other, not in spite of our flaws, but because of them,” she wrote.

To mark their 10th wedding anniversary, Yeng mentioned how she was reminded of all the reasons why she fell in love with Yan.

“I love you for who you are, and for who you help me to be. I love you for the adventures we’ve had, the memories we’ve made, and the dreams we’re still chasing. I love you for the late-night conversations, the silly jokes, and the quiet moments when it’s just us,” she expressed.

“Most of all, I love you for being my rock, my partner, and my best friend. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and adventure together! Happy 10 years to us Yan! LOVE YOU!” she ended.

They officially tied the knot in a garden ceremony at the Hacienda Isabella in Indang, Cavite in February 2015.
