

The lone passenger of the crashed Piper plane in Isabela was found dead on Sunday morning, Dec. 10, Isabela Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head Watu Foronda confirmed.
In an update sent to the media, Foronda said K9 trackers found the lifeless body of the lone passenger down the mountain slope from the Piper plane’s crash site located in Brgy. Casala, San Mariano, Isabela.
“Around 9:15am, the missing passenger was found lifeless by K9 trackers about 200 meters down the mountain slope from the plane wreckage,” he said.

A Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter, according to the Isabela PDRRMO head, will transmit the remains of the female passenger to TOG2 in Cauayan City, Isabela.
“The remains will be flown to TOG2 where a funeral vehicle will be waiting. After funeral processing, the casket will be flown to Palanan by the operator of the ill-fated aircraft. It is the decision of the husband of the passenger,” he said.
The Piper plane with a tail number PA-32-300 was reported missing on Nov. 30 after it failed to arrive at Palanan Airport.
Five days later, on Dec. 5, the PAF Sokol helicopter found the wreckage of the Piper plane in San Mariano, Isabela.
Last Thursday, Dec. 7, Foronda announced that the pilot was found dead at the crash site.
